Secret Bunny gift

I participated in a swap over on ESAD-SU (Stampin’ Up! group) for a Secret Bunny swap.

My bunny hasn’t acknowledged that she’s received her gift yet, so I’ll have to wait to show you what I sent.

But this is what I received from my Secret Bunny:

Here’s everything unwrapped:

There were some White Lindt chocolate balls (yummo!), personalised stationery cards, a roll of Early Espresso & Marina Mist 5/8″ Grosgrain ribbon, Jewels Basic Rhinestones & some Antique Brads, all beautifully decorated using the Elegant Soiree DSP and co-ordinating cardstock.

Thank you to my wonderful Bunny Felicity!

Until later, happy stampin’

Belated Birthday Wishes

Two of my Stampin’ Up! friends had birthdays over the weekend and I only managed to go send them wishes (via the internet) yesterday as I was busy with family events over our long weekend for Easter & Anzac Day here in Australia….. yep we got a 5 day long weekend this year how lucky were we!

On Sunday is was Jodene’s birthday – as she lives over in WA I finally had the pleasure of meeting Jodene last year at SU Convention, we had become friends through yahoo group Stampin’ Up! in Oz.

And on Tuesday (yesterday) it was Linda’s birthday – Linda is a fellow Brisbane girl & we’ve been lucky to meet up at Regionals & Convention, we too also became friends through the same yahoo group.  Linda spoilt me last year with a gorgeous birthday gift at Regionals.

You must check out their blogs as they do such beautiful work !!!  Both are listed on my Blogroll.  (Linda hasn’t been able to blog as much lately since returning to work full time as a prep teacher)

I made a couple of birthday cards using one of my favourite challenge blogs Stamping 411 & this time I also used the colour challenge from Color Throwdown.  The colours in the challenge were Navy, White &  pick a colour – I chose Cherry Cobbler.

Easter baskets

I didn’t really get around to making anything special for my Easter gifts this year….. slack I know!

But I did manage to make a couple of baskets, although only plain, for a few special people.

This one was for Sarah (David’s daughter), it was using a template from Lauren Meader – “Pack A Picnic” although I didn’t put a lid on it.  I didn’t want to decorate it with an Easter theme as thought she might like to use it to store things in later.  Those little rabbits on top were actually decorated bubblegum & I think too cute to eat!

This one was for my Mum:

These last ones were for my little nephews (sorry for the photo being a little out of focus but I took it as I was rushing out the door)

I can tell you these were the most loved & handled of all little baskets….. Ryan & Oliver just loved them & walked around with them for ages.  As they are only 4 1/2yrs & 1 1/2yrs I gave them only a few chocolates in their baskets as I knew they would get lots from all the family, so included a jumping egg which had them playing & not eating chocolate for a little while (lol) and also a Peter Rabbit book each, as they love books.

My Secret Sister March gift

Once again where have the days slipped by since I last blogged….. why is life slipping by so fast??

Thought you might like to see my lovely gifts from my Secret Sister for March.  They were so pretty as all spritzed so they had shimmer to them.

and with the gifts opened – here’s how spoilt I was:

I’m just blown away with my SS generosity (as my finances are very tight at the moment), I received the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions folder, Small Heart punch & some very nice smelling soap (which is apparently made locally where she lives).  So I’m hanging out for the end of the this month for our final reveal to see who my wonderful Secret Sister is as I just love her work….. umm but then again that means the end of these surprise gifts….lol.  Sending a HUGE thank you SS.

Happy Good Friday, sending out warm Easter wishes to you & your families.

Until later, happy stampin’

GTKY Card – March

Okay I’m a little behind with showing some of the cards I’ve received recently, so just a quick post to show you my GTKY (get to know you) card I received from Liz in March.  I’ve mentioned before how we send off a card with some information about ourselves to another member in yahoo group Stampin Up In Oz.

Liz has had me as a partner before so she just sent me this pretty card without another letter.

It had lots of bling! and the colours were great together.

I’ll be back later to show off what my Secret Sister sent me for March (from the same yahoo group), but for now I had go better finish off my gift for my Secret Sister for this month.

As this is our last month of the swap for Secret Sister & after I reveal to my SS who I am I will be able to show off what I’ve been making & sending for the past 3 months.

Until later, happy stampin’

25th Wedding Anniversary

It’s my old primary school friend Paula’s 25th Wedding Anniversary & I was invited to her party tonight.  I thought I’d make a little something to give her & as its a Silver anniversary I thought I’d make her a few candle holders.

Here’s a close up of each of the gifts

The card:

The box – which contained the candleholders I made using the Flower Folds Bigz xl dies

I used last week’s sketch from Stamping 411 but didn’t get this post in in time for the link.

Ink: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake

Stamp: Baroque Motifs, A Word For You, Congrats (retired)

I tried doing this post before I went to the party but the photos wouldn’t load for me, so here I am posting now as I get home from the party.  I must report she loved her gift & said she would treasure it….  It’s been nice to rekindle the friendship for the past few years since loosing touch for many years.  So wishing them all the best for another 25yrs!

Finally back to share a card

 Hi everyone,

I’m sorry I have been MIA for so long & honestly I just don’t know where my spare time goes as life seems to be flying by just too fast.

I’ve been meaning to get back on to my blog but I’ve just had some issues I’ve been dealing with along with some medical ones as well.  The tests have started and just one more to go, along with then having some more ear problems with some surgery scheduled for that in a couple of weeks.

Anyway enough of that & back to my craft……. just need to capture my mojo and all will be good.

It was my lovely friend and work colleague Gail’s birthday a few weeks ago & I managed to make her was a card but no handmade projects which I felt terrible about.  But she liked her ‘bought’ pressies anyway.

This is my card I made (while struggling with no creative juices I might add)

Card: Basic Grey, Regal Rose, Whisper White

Ink: Always artichoke, Regal Rose

Stamp: Just believe, Punch Potpourri (Level 1 Hostess set), Well Scripted (Summer Mini now unavailable)

Other: Boho Blossoms punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Scallop Trim Border punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder, Basic Pearl Jewels

Now I have been finding time to get into my photography so perhaps I’ll have to share some of that with you too….
