Sail Away

Thought I’d try do a male card with the latest sketch over on Stamping 411Although I have used a retired mini stamp as I don’t have many current male stamps.

This is a Father’s Day card – ready to help acknowledge the great Dad’s out there this Sunday.

I sponged on some Marina Mist for my water (although the colour in this photo doesn’t quite look it).

This week’s sketch 218

Card: Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake

Stamp: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Sail Away (retired)

Other: Top Note Bigz die, Square Lattice Embossing folder, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Early Espresso 5/8″ Grosgrain ribbon

I’m sorry I sometimes use retired stamps, but I love my stamp collection, so I’m always bound to use a retired one along the way…. after all that’s why I bought them in the first place…. to use!

Until later, happy stampin’

Happy Birthday Bronwen

It was my lovely friend Bronwen Cornish’s birthday on Wednesday & I made a little something & posted it to her.  But I couldn’t blog anything until now as she would otherwise have seen it….lol   But she acknowledged receiving it today so now I can show it off.

Bronwen is a talented fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who I met a little while ago and she was good enough to bring me some little gifts back from Convention this year as I couldn’t go.  Pop over to her blog some time to check out her wonderful work.

It was just a card, little box that contained some chocolate coated coffee beans & soap.

Happy Birthday Corey

It was my little brother Corey’s birthday on the 22nd & it took me all day to get him on the phone to wish him a great day…..after leaving messages on his phone, email & facebook…..lol

He was supposed to send me some book titles so we could give him something that he actually wanted & at last I have the list, so now I just need to track down one.

I sent him my card aka chocolate holder so he had at least something on the day!

Showing side the card & the pull out chocolate

Until later, happy stampin’

Sympathy card

I just learnt this week my lovely friend & travel agent Tracy suddenly lost her Dad last week.

I want her to know she’s in my thoughts so wanted to give her something I had made with love.

I used this week’s sketch over on Stamping 411 – SSC217.  There were 2 sketches this week to use but I chose this one:

Card: Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla

Ink: Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery

Stamp: Upsy Daisy, Thanks for Caring

Other: Certainly Celery 3/8″ Taffeta ribbon, Clear Embossing powder, Heat & Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals

Until later, happy stampin’

Happy Birthday Oliver

It’s my very cute little nephew Oliver’s 2nd birthday today.  He’s just starting to express himself with that 2yr old attitude & although can be frustrating it is so cute at the same time.  He just loves to play outside & he’s such a climber!

Here is my card I made for him.  I saw a card made with Fox & Friends a while ago which I have based this on, but can’t find it now to acknowledge the creator.

and for a change thought I’d show you the inside:

Card: Pacific Blue, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Brights DSP Paper Pattern Stack

Ink: Pacific Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango

Stamp: Fox & Friends

Other: Linen Thread, Curly Label punch, circle punches, Cricut to cut numbers

Until later, happy stampin’

Mojo Monday 204

As the count down is on for the retiring list, I wanted to make a few more cards using some of my favourite stamps that will soon be retired from the Stampin’ Up! collection.  Although I certainly have some that won’t leave my possession as I love them…..lol.  So you will perhaps see the odd card still with some of these retiring stamps.

I have used this week’s sketch from Mojo Monday sketch 204, for my creative inspiration for these cards.

This card is using Priceless

This card is using Friends 24/7
