Here are a couple of calendars I made for some customers & friends.  They are only small but I think turned out quite cute.

The first one is using Washington Apple Designer Series Paper; Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White cardstock.

The second one is using Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper; Not Quite Navy, Kraft & Whisper White cardstock.

I have used the Butterfly Prints stamp from the Summer Mini Catalogue (31Dec 09 – 31 Mar 10).  I have stamped the butterfly image then punched out the image using the Butterfly punch also from the Summer Mini Catalogue.  I stamped my image onto Whisper White & also onto Vellum & mounted the vellum image over the card image only along the butterfly’s body so to allow the wings to be able to be bend up & give more dimension.

(The verse is from Full of Life a current USA SU stamp set.)

Help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on 12th January. From now until 28th February, 2010, Stampin’ Up!® will set aside $2 from the sale of every I {Heart} Heart stamp set and donate it to the Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

I really love the way Stampin’ Up! are always willing to help when devastation hits a country (just like they did last year when bushfires ravaged parts of Victoria here in Australia).

If you would like to help with this fund raising & order the I {Heart} Hearts  stamp set – $42.95 + postage, please email me at or call me 0429 334 966.  If you place an order with me I will donate my commission from the sale of this stamp set to the appeal as well.  Also if you purchase any of the heart punches I’ll also donate my commision from these as well.

Choo Choo Wild About You

This is a card I made for David’s little nephew’s birthday.

Yes I’m showing you some stamp sets no longer available but perhaps they may end up in the next new catalogue later in the year.  I loved the little choo choo train, so couldn’t resist using it although its from the Spring Mini 2009.

I have used the In Colours card stock for this card – Pacific Point & Riding Hood Red, along with Whisper White.

The train track has been rolled on using Right On Track wheel* (from the Spring Mini 2009) & Basic Black ink.  The train has been stamped using Choo Choo* stamp set (from the Spring Mini 2009) in Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Riding Hood Red and the puffs of smoke used Basic Gray, then cut each has been cut out and placed on the track.  The animals are using the stamp set Wild About You and have been stamped using Pumpkin Pie, Going Gray and Creamy Caramel ink, again all have then been cut out & place onboard the train. I have added some dimension to the animals by restamping the face of the lion & the ear of the elephant & mounting them with Dimensionals.

The greeting is from Its Your Birthday and stamped in Basic Black.

Inside the card I have attached an extra piece of Whisper White & stamped some more animals in Pumpkin Pie & Creamy Caramel from Wild About You & the greeting is Birthday Wish* (from the Spring Mini 2009).

Now I’m just hoping Choo Choo will perhaps have been popular in the Spring Mini to continue into the new catalogue as I think its such a cute stamp set….. (fingers crossed)

There was lots of cutting out on this card, but it was worth it for the end result.

Until later, happy stampin’

* denotes stamp sets currently not available (from the 2009 Spring Mini Catalogue)

This stamp set PRICELESS will always remain one of my favourite sets.  I love the flourishes and butterfly in this set, but opted to use the flower & small flourish from the set for this card.

This card is using Candy Lane Designer Series Paper, Pink Pirouette & Riding Hood Red cardstock, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Close to Cocoa ink pads, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, the Scallop Edge punch, and the greeting is from the Hostess Reward stamp sets Level 1 –  SWEET LITTLE SENTIMENTS.  Just for that extra finish I’ve added Rhinestone Brads to the flowers and mounted them on Dimensionals.

I cased this cute card from one of my Secret Sisters I had last year – Pat Carr.

Another Wedding Card

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while but I have been a little distracted away on holidays, so am posting another wedding card I made for my cousin’s wedding a few months ago (well actually I gave it to my Mum to use as her gift card)

I have embossed Whisper White cardstock & then layered this onto Old Olive cardstock. I have then stamped the hearts using Always stamp set in Old Olive and cut them out & positioned them over each other. Then dressed them up using the pearls from Pretties Kit & 1/4″ Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon to mimick the bride & groom. Finally I added some 1/2″ Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I then attached this to my Whisper White card & stamped on the Congratulations greeting using the For The Bride stamp set using Old Olive again.

The reason I chose these colours was that I thought it would be nice to stay with the colours used on the wedding invitation which were green, brown & pearly white….. hence why the chocolate chip ribbon for the tie on the “groom” heart.

Hope you like it & now just to get myself creative again & making some new cards.

Until later, happy stampin’

Secret Sister gift No 3

Well this is the last of my independent Stampin’ Up! secret sister groups that I signed up for. This one runs for the next 2 months as well, so I’m looking forward to more wonderful gifts.

and my gifts open

This cute suitcase contained lots of ribbons, brads & felt flowers, along with a notebook. The chocolate pull out contained my favourite – white Lindt chocolate… yum yum yum. I also received a cake of Nutrimetics Lemon Meringue soap…. smells so good you want to eat it!

So this was the last of my lovely handmade gifts for Christmas.
