Preston’s Christening

It’s my very cute little one year old nephew Preston’s Christening today.

The family have all travelled down from Queensland to Melbourne (Victoria) for this special event (along with his birthday on Thursday)

Thought I might share this card I made for him.

I couldn’t seem to find a Stampin’ Up! “Christening” salutation, which was a little disappointing, so had to put my paper through the printer  prior to piecing it all together.

I’ve stamped with my SU colours but tried my colouring again with the giraffe with Copic markers & SU marker.

Now as I’m currently away for another week yet, I won’t be posting any new creations, but check out my photo blog kerrishutterbug or click on the link on the side bar to see some of my photography of my travels.

Until later, happy stampin’.

Happy 1st Birthday Preston

It is my very cute little nephew Preston’s 1st birthday today!

I don’t get to see him that much, so have travelled to Melbourne to celebrate with the family this big milestone.

This is my little card I made him using the single stamp Elebration:

I mounted the circle scallop on dimensionals to make it pop

The worst part is with all the items packed in my suitcase to come down – it has squashed the dimensionals so it’s not as raised 😦

I decided to make a square card just to make it a little different & the great thing is Stampin’ Up! make beautiful square envelopes and your stamped image stamps so nicely on our envelopes.

This was my first attempt at colouring in with Copic markers (non SU) & I’m pretty pleased with my efforts.

Until later, happy stampin’

Happy Sweet 16th Sarah

Today is Dave’s daughter Sarah’s 16th Birthday.

She is having a Halloween themed birthday party tonight, so I thought I’d make her a card & gift bag in keeping with this theme.  I saw a great bag over on Lynn Pratt’s blog quite some time ago, so I immediately knew what I was going to do.

My bag & card:

Here’s another look at the bag:

& the card:

The gift all ready to go.  I used some black tissue paper just to concele the gift a little more

All stampin’ up excluding the little bat.

Until later, happy stampin’

My swap to USA

As I promised I’m back to share my project I sent over to Martha in USA from my last swap over on uStamp with Dawn.  I kept with a Christmas Theme – as it’s not really Fall here but Spring!

Now I did get a little carried away trying to share some Aussie icons with her – so my postage costs were way over the top and certainly well over the value of the gift, so I have learnt not to go so big with any future overseas projects.

Here they are a little more details to show what was inside:

Tim Tams – I thought I’d include them as the USA Stampin’ Up! girls who come over for Convention always rave about how many packets they are taking home!

A little Koala – can’t get much more Aussie than that!   I did throw in a couple of  little Cherry Ripe bite size bars with my Koala, another little ‘candy’ they don’t have over there.

Apparently the little Koals is sitting in her craft room on a shelf so she can see & remember me by…. isn’t that lovely!

Little notebook and pencil

My flower was a poinsettia – our Christmas flower – so I made one for each of my projects.

Apparently my colour combination is one of her favourites, so another winner for me….lol

I’m currently doing another swap over on uStamp with Dawn, so will share those soon.

Until later, happy stampin’

Swap gift from USA

Last month I participated in a swap on uStamp with Dawn and I received a lovely present from my swap sister Martha Ludeking from America.  The theme for the tutorial sign-up was I Love The Holidays – Thanksgiving, Halloween & Christmas

I’ve been meaning to blog my swap I received & realised I haven’t shared her lovely gift.

I received a lovely little handbag with gift cards inside, some yummy Kisses chocolates & a very cute stocking card.  I was lucky enough to also receive some die cuts of templates we unfortunately don’t have here in Australia – The Stocking & Sweet Treats templates.

I’ll be back to share my gift to her tomorrow.

Until later, happy stampin’

Happy Birthday Melissa

It was my lovely sister-in-law Melissa’s birthday yesterday, so thought I’d share my card I sent her.

I’m looking forward to going to Melbourne at the end of the month to catch up with her, my brother & of course my little nephew who turns one!  Looking forward to lots of Aunty cuddles!!

Until later, happy stampin’
