Secret Sister – Card 2 (feb)

Woohoo I received another beautiful card from my Secret Sister today…. boy I’m one happy girl!

This is what’s so good about signing up for this venture – getting happy mail!  The talent of my Secret Sister has me excited as to what will be coming over the next few months.

This card is vintage & I love it!  She’s a girl of my own heart with her precision cutting & stamping.

If my Secret Sister reads this post – I’m happy with any colours, you don’t need to stick to my survey answers as it’s great to see any colours and styles… and admit I’ll be ‘casing’ your cards.

Until later, happy stampin’

Secret Sister – Card 1 (Feb)

I have signed up again for another round of Secret Sister – Round 4 – over on Stampin’ Up in Oz  and February is our first month.

The way this Secret Sister swap runs is for each of months 1 & 2 you need to send 2 cards and a handmade gift of about $4 – $8. The gift is not the packaging but what is in the packaging. Then in the 3rd month the gift value increases.  It’s great to be able to send someone your handmade gifts and they don’t know who it’s from (until we reveal at the end of the 3rd month) but the fun part is receiving them too.

Today was my lucky day as my first card arrived from my Secret Sister & it’s really pretty.  She has even made the card using the colours I listed as my favourite… PINK & chocolate chip.

So I’ll be back to show you my cards & gifts as I receive them.  However I won’t be able to show off my creations until the 3 months is up or my Secret Sister might work out who I am.

Techno Stamper – TSSC161

I’ve been playing again in another attempt with trying to make an all green card for our monthly challenge over on yahoo group Stampin’ Up in Oz – GREEN for March to mark St Patrick Day.  Plus I thought I’d try out my new background stamp Wonderfully Worn which gives just a hint of colour to my base card.  Now perhaps I might try this layout in some other colours.

I’ve used the sketch from Techno Stamper for this one

Card: Certainly Celery, Whisper White

Ink: Certainly Celery

Stamp: Wonderfully Worn, Baby Steps

Other: Swiss Dots (non SU) embossing die, Jewels Basic Pearls, retired SU flower punches

Now I’ve had some trouble trying to get my photos loading into here and gave up last night, so back to try again, but now they seem a little dark……[sigh]….  I have used this week’s sketch over on Stamping 411 – SSC190

I had a play with a few colour combinations but this was perhaps the one I liked the best

Card: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Old Olive paper from the Brights DSP Patterns Stack

Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive,

Stamp: Flight of the Butterfly, Love Defined

Other: Old Olive 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad, Swiss Dots (non SU) Embossing folder

This was the sketch:

Another colour combinations I tried:

Card: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry paper from Brights DSP Pattern Stack

Ink: Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry

We also have a green theme this month over on yahoo group Stampin’ Up In Oz, so I tried it all in green, but might have to rethink my “green card”  entry… what do you think?

Card: Old Olive, Whisper White, Brights DSP Patterns Stack

Ink: Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz

Thanks for looking.

Until later, happy stampin’

I have used two challenges for this project, the sketch from The Sweet Stop and colour challenge from yahoo group Stampin’ Up in Oz – Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day today I made a card & small gift – a pull out sweets holder which contained some Peanut Brittle.  I’m loving using my Two Step Owl punch lately – it just makes such a cute little embellishment.

My card:

from another angle to show my little owl was mounted on Dimensionals just to make him pop alittle more.

The pullout sweets holder:

Card: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso

Stamp: Love Defined, I {Heart} Hearts

Other: Two Step Owl punch, Oval punch, Large Oval punch, 1/4″ Early Espresso Grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals

I hope everyone out there gets a little love shown to them today….. Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!

Until later, happy stampin’
