Thinking of you

I saw this owl a little while ago so had a go at making it today.  Then the challenge was using it on a card, so I went in search of a sketch challenge & found this week’s sketch over on Mojo Monday 229 would suit.

Sketch 229

Card: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White

Ink: Real Red

Stamp: Teeny Tiny Sentiments

This owl was a bit big, so have made another one smaller….. now how to use it on a card……

Thought I’d share what we made in our Valentine’s class last weekend.

and a little chocolate box which held 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates!

I used some Iridescent Ice on the big hearts just to give a bit of shimmer & bling to the card & box and attached the hearts along the centre after folding them to give them a flutter effect.

We also made an extra card

Freshly Made…..

I finally got a bit creative yesterday & made a few cards.  As I like to play along with some sketch challenges I found a new sketch blog to add to my fun…. Freshly Made

I stepped outside my comfort zone to make a long size card (DL envelope size).  Since I was already “out there” I thought why not make them bright & colourful too!

but then I also made another card – back to my A5 size

This was the sketch over at Freshly Made #20

Card: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Confetti White,

Ink: Melon Mambo / Tempting Turquoise

Stamp:  Heard from the Heart

Other: Scallop Edge border punch, 2 1/2″ Circle punch, 2 3/8″ Scallop punch, Circle from Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Blossom Party originals die, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders

Belle Bazaar Twilight Markets

I am getting excited about attending BELLE BAZAAR TWILIGHT MARKETS again this weekend SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER  3pm to 8pm at the MOUNT GRAVATT SHOWGROUNDS here in Brisbane.

The last market  in October was apparently the largest event ever held at the showgrounds other than our local show.  So I was thrilled to be a part of that, along with meeting great customers and also chatting with the other stall holders and eating the great food available there.

I have some great Christmas Cards ready for the kids to make on the day and have also been busy creating lots of paper craft and cards which will make great and unique Christmas presents.

Stayed tuned as I’ll show you a sneak look at some of my projects through the week. Here are a few items I’ll have:

Definitely a  MUST GO TO MARKET for anybody chasing those special Christmas gifts or appreciates hand crafted quality, along with lots of children’s products.

Hope to see you there.

So contact me to purchase or place an order.

Just For You

I have made this card for a lovely overseas lady just to surprise her & let her know I was thinking of her.

I used this week’s sketch over at The Sweet Stop – SSS127 & the colour combination from Color Throwdown – #160

I’m sorry but I’ve used a couple of retired stamps but I was after the little hearts as the theme for my card – giving the love & caring touch

Here is the sketch:

& colour palette:

DSP: Sweet Always (retired)

Ink: Regal Rose

Stamp: Precious Butterflies, Love Defined (retired), A Happy Heart (retired)

Other: Pinking Hearts Border punch, Small Heart punch, Owl Builder punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch

Mojo Monday 204

As the count down is on for the retiring list, I wanted to make a few more cards using some of my favourite stamps that will soon be retired from the Stampin’ Up! collection.  Although I certainly have some that won’t leave my possession as I love them…  So you will perhaps see the odd card still with some of these retiring stamps.

I have used this week’s sketch from Mojo Monday sketch 204, for my creative inspiration for these cards.

This card is using Priceless

This card is using Friends 24/7

Aussie Cards for Sale – My Expression of Interest

I found Aussie Cards for Sale a little while ago, it’s a wonderful website specialising in Australian handmade cards for all occasions.

I had a go at trying to see if Alicia would be interested in my cards, but at the time she had enough designers stocking her website.  But I have recently found out she’s looking for more designers, so I’m biting the bullet and showing my interest to become one of her card makers.

I have no idea which of my cards to include so I decided on showing lots…  Here are some cards I’m submitting for consideration:

Do you think I had some better samples that I’ve blogged previously??

Oh well fingers crossed.
