Mojo Monday 203

I have a few birthday cards to get out to some stamping friends & used this week sketch over on Mojo Monday for some inspiration.  I combined it with Just Add Ink’s challenge this week which was to use tearing /distressing (but missed the linky).

I used my Stampin’ Up! colour coach to help with my colour combination.

Week 203 sketch

Card: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler

Ink: Early Espresso

Stamp: Priceless, So Happy For You (sale-a-bration)

Other: Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta ribbon, Pearl

Until later, happy stampin’

    • Hi Annie,
For this flower I tore out circles of cardstock in 3 slightly different sizes. I sponged the edges first with some ink to give a litte contrast, but you leave it plain if you want. Next I lightly sprayed each layer with water to allow me to distress the edges by crinkling/curling them. Then as the cardstock dries it becomes firm again to hold the shape. To speed this up you can always use a heat gun to dry out the cardstock. Then glue each layer of the flower so it fits within the bottom one. I added a tiny brown centre & then a pearl. But you can finish the flower with a button or large brad & etc. To add a little bling you can spritz with some Smooch or Glimmer Mist or even paint the edges with some Shimmer paint.
I have also made these flowers just punching out 3 circles instead of tearing, then distress the edges & etc as above.
Good luck & let me know if you need more help
