It’s my gorgeous little nephew Ryan’s birthday today & he turned 4yrs old. So of course Aunty Kerri had to spoil him, although that won’t happen until tomorrow (Saturday) when I see him for our family party. His Mum Kate has been busy this year having to make 3 birthday cakes…… one for daycare, one for his little party at the play gym with all his little friends, and the last one for our family party. Luckily he hasn’t quite got the concept of presents yet when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday all he said was Birthday Cake & Lollipops!…… how cute is that! Umm perhaps that won’t be long until he has a list for us all.
For his card I used Wild About You – which I’ll miss as its about to retire, as is the other stamps I used Big Bold Birthday & Think Happy Thoughts. So please let me know soon if you’d like any of these stamp sets before they are gone forever!
I wanted it bold and bright to match his little personality……. which is very strong willed…… & demanding at times…. lol
I used the balloon from Big Bold Birthday, using one of the stamps to stamp onto the actual balloon stamp & then stamp the balloon – to give the circle spot effect. I also used a balloon punch (non SU) to give some size variation. I mounted some of the balloons on Dimensionals but glued the ends of the balloon to the card to give them a floating effect yet be “tied” to the strings I drew.
Card: Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Going Gray (retiring), Pacific Point, Basic Black Stampin’ Write
Stamp: Wild About You, Big Bold Birthday, Think Happy Thoughts
Other: Dimensionals, Balloon Punch (non SU)
Well I’m looking forward to seeing Ryan opening all his presents, as I wrapped them all up individually – just to extend his fun of ripping open the paper!
Until later, happy stampin’
Love it Kerri, the colour combo is awesome
