A card to mark the day

I decided to make a card to mark the day of first meeting David just one year ago.

When I saw the Mojo Monday 150 sketch I thought this sketch would suit using A Happy Heart stamp set – which by the way is about to retire so if you like this set it’s on the Last Chance list.

Now I know my best friend will probably rib me about doing this kind of card for David, but I think it’s nice to acknowledge someone who has changed my life and brought me some happiness again.

This is the sketch:

and here is my card:

I actually didn’t think I had any Baja Breeze ribbon so decided to make a paper one, by cutting a strip of cardstock & running it through my Crimper.  I then mounted the sentiment on Dimensions due to the bulk of my ‘ribbon’.  But the funny part is once I finished the card I remembered I had some Valet Ribbon Originals with just the perfect size Baja Breeze Satin Ribbon…. oh well I like my crimped one.

Card: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red

Stamp: A Happy Heart

Other: 1″ Circle & 1 1/4″ Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Corner Rounder, Dimensionals, Crimper

Now let’s see if Dave remembers!  But then my card will remind him I guess… lol

Until later, happy stampin’
