Mojo Monday 135 – Card 2

26 Apr

Thought I’d make another card with the colours I was wanting to use last night for the Mojo Monday Week 135 sketch.

I’m using colours to match a series of cards to go into my Card Purse – which is a birthday gift (replacing something I had already made)

Card: Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Bali Breeze DSP (retired)

Ink: Rose Red

Stamp: Sincere Salutations

Other: Scallop Edge punch, Extra-Large Two-Step Bird punch, Tempting Turquoise 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, non SU scallop circle die, non SU bling

Well I’d better get the rest of the cards made, so shall share them later with you….. Until then, happy stampin’

Mojo Monday 135

26 Apr

Found this sketch although a little late as its about to change for another week, but thought it would challenge me to go out of my comfort zone.  I played with colours for a while but just before I started glueing I changed it to be all one colour instead of multi coloured card…… not sure its one of my best but it is late at night……

I used a little Dazzling Diamonds to give my icing some sparkle!

Card: Rose Red, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper

Stamp: Big Bold Birthday, Whimsical Words

Ink: Rose Red

Other: Scallop Border punch, Whisper White 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, non SU scallop  circle die

Until later, happy stampin’.

Punch Art Flowers

25 Apr

Hi everyone,

Just sharing my Mother’s Day card I have made using the 5 Petal Flower punch.

I punched out two 5 Petal Flowers for each flower, scored them down centre of petal to the middle of flower & folded them to give dimensional depth to each flower.  I stamped & cut out the flower from Cottage Garden (Autumm-Winter Mini) & added to top of other punched flowers, positioning them to alter each layer on the petals.  To hold them together I used a rhinestone brad.  They are attached to the card by a Dimensional.

Close up:

Card: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White

Stamp: Cottage Garden, Occasional Greetings

Ink: Rich Razzleberry

Other: Top Note big shot die, 5 Petal Flower punch, Extra-Large Two-Step Bird punch (leave stem), Clear Rhinestone Brads, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Bone Folder, Dimensionals.

Umm now my Mum will see this post, so I guess I will have to come up with another design for her now….. love you Mum!

Until later, happy stampin’.

Lucky Me

23 Apr

Well I’ve been very lucky this week as I’ve received another 5 cards as RAKs (random act of kindness) & one of those being my GTKY card from Theresa in yahoo group Stampin Up In Oz.

Unfortunately the recent rain wasn’t kind to a couple of them, but only one ended up showing the water damage :(

Now I’ll have to get busy for my return RAKs to all these wonderful girls.

Thank you Julie, Karen T., Therese, Karen G., Liz – they certainly were a lovely pick me up this week!

Until later, Happy Stampin’

RRAK from Fiona

19 Apr

Just wanting to share this beautiful card I received today from Fiona Platzer.  It is my RRAK (return random act of kindness) from Fiona from yahoo group Stampin Up In Oz, only this is the second one she has done for me as my first seems to have taken a holiday out there with the postman.  So its a double big thank you to Fiona for actually making me another one how kind hearted is she!!!!

Oh well, hope my creative mojo comes back soon as I’ve had a busy weekend doing photography, then a family outing.  Can’t believe how quickly a weekend can be over with & I’m already back into the working week.

Until later, happy stampin’

Technostamper -SC117

16 Apr

I found another sketch to try out from Technostamper – Sketch Challenge 117

As I need another birthday card I though this sketch would suit an idea I had in my head using Cottage Garden stamp set.

So here is my card:

I orginally only stamped my flower on the Very Vanilla but it looked a little flat, so I stamped extra flowers & cut them out & mounted them on Dimensionals to give more depth to the card.

So here’s a close up to show this detail, I also added loops of Old Olive 1/4″ Ribbon & used Dazzling Diamonds to the centre of the flowers.

A slight variation with my greeting:

Paper: Ruby Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla

Stamp: Cottage Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments (both from current Autumn-Winter Mini in Australia)

Ink: Ruby Red, Old Olive

Other: Scallop Border punch, Word window punch, Designer punch [1]/Large oval [2], Old Olive 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals, non SU 1/4″ circle punch

Until later, happy stampin’

Just Add Ink #12

13 Apr

I wanted to make a special card for a special couple who had some wonderful news they were expecting their first baby….. although they aren’t telling everyone just yet, so I guess I have to keep who it is under wraps for now.

So when I saw the latest sketch over on Just Add Ink it gave me the inspiration for my card.

I have used neutral colours & that cute little monkey from FOX & FRIENDS, I think this little monkey is quite a cheeky little guy

…… umm not sure what’s happened to my colours as I’ve loaded photos here as they seem to have changed a little….sorry! But the colours are listed below

and inside the card

Card: So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Stamp: Fox & Friends, For The Bride (salutation), Cheery Chat [retired]

Ink: Close to Cocoa

Other: Scallop Border Punch, Sizzlets Little Leaves, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by.

Until later, happy stampin’
