Stamping 411 – SSC 144

28 Mar

I have used the latest Stamping 411 – SSC144 sketch to make a belated birthday card for a fellow scrapbooker on No Crap Just Scrap  (& ESAD-SU).  I had planned to have this card made & posted but I can’t believe the time just snuck up on me & now I’ve had to make a belated card as her birthday was over this weekend….. sorry Sharon!  (My first ever belated birthday card I may add!!)

I used Razzle Dazzle stamp from the Summer Mini which is about to finish in a couple of days.

I wanted to add a flower from the Pretties Kit, but as they were white & I had used Very Vanilla I coloured it on my stamp pad to match my cardstock Cameo Carol.

Inside the card with verse

Card: Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral

Stamp: Razzle Dazzle, It’s Your Birthday, On Your Birthday

Ink: Tempting Turquoise

Other: Word Window punch, Scallop Edge punch, Designer Label punch, Pretties Kit, Brad, Dimensionals, non SU embossing folder [Swiss Dots]

Oh well it will be in the post on Monday so I guess I’ll just make her birthday wishes stretch a little further, anyway  Happy Birthday Sharon.

Until later, happy stampin’

Baby Card

25 Mar

I used the Just Add Ink #9 sketch again to make this quick baby card.

I’ve been busy playing with the new mini stamps & thought I must have a play with the current Summer Mini stamps Animal Stories & Sweetness Unlimited before they expire at the end of the month.  So don’t forget its into the last week of being able to order from this catalogue as there is no knowing if these stamps will make it into the new Idea Book & Catalogue later in the year.

I ran the ink pad over the top section of the card just to give some texture to this section.

Card: Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa

Stamp: Animal Stories, Sweetness Unlimited

Ink: Baja Breeze

Other: Scallop Edge punch, Dimensionals, non SU 1/4″ circle punch, Designer Label punch

Until later, happy stampin’

Just Add Ink #9 sketch

21 Mar

I had just discovered this sketch from Just Add Ink when I found out a long time friend of my parents passed away yesterday.   So I thought it would suit making a Sympathy card to send to Harry’s family.

I still had cardstock colours from my previous post on my desk, so decided to use some of those again, this is my version of the sketch:

I was inspired to try making a sunflower using the scallop punch, after seeing fellow members Karen & Jodene’s creations on yahoo group Stampin Up in Oz, so thanks girls for the idea.

Card/paper: Cameo Coral, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper

Stamp: Close As A Memory, Boho Backgrounds

Ink: Rose Red

Other: Pretties Kit, Scallop Circle punch, Scallop Edge punchLittle Leaves sizzlet die*

NOTE: * released in Autumn-Winter Mini 1st April

Rest In Peace Harry!

Until later, happy stampin’

Saturday Sketch 20/3 (UDI)

21 Mar

I decided to challenge myself with Utah Diva’s International  Saturday Sketch (20/3) which was to include the Pretties kit with the sketch.

I wanted to use my Raspberry Tart DSP as haven’t used it for a while, so this is my card:

Must admit I had a few attempts at making my butterfly with the beads, my first attempt got laughed at so that wasn’t a good feeling….  it was referred to as an alien…. [sob sob].  Then tried to use the pin from the Pretties Kit, but as I wanted to make it more like a butterfly with antennas I used wire and came with this butterfly.  I joined two butterfly images together to hold the wire body in place.

I used a silk flower from the Pretties Kit & then added some layers by punching extra flowers with the 5-Petal Flower & Boho Blossoms.  I curled the larger flowers a little just with my fingers & then added my sentiment before attaching the last flower & pearl.

Card/paper: Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral , Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper

Stamp: Butterfly Prints, Teeny Tiny Sentiments*

Ink: Rose Red

Punches: Butterfly, 5-Petal Flower, Boho Blossoms

Other: Pretties Kit (silk flower, beads, pearls), Dimensionals, non SU embossing folder [Swiss Dots], wire

NOTE: * Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue available 1st April.

Until later, happy stampin’
