I’m back!!!

18 Jan

Belated HAPPY NEW YEAR & hello to all my wonderful friends & followers I humbly apologise for being absent for so long!! Life for me has just been a bit hectic and I’ve just needed to chill out over the festive season.  It’s taken a bit to get my mojo back, so I’m hoping to get back into the swing of creating again!!  I have been making a few cards since my last post, but just not got around to showing them off…..

Well to kick of this year I’m starting with one of my favourite challenge sites – Stamping 411.

This week’s sketch SSC238

As it’s a male card I changed the bow into a multi layered sentiment to kinda resemble a bow…..lol.

Now for those who know me I struggle a bit with male cards so I’m pretty impressed I’ve kicked off this blogging year really challenging myself…. lol

This was my first attempt but I wasn’t sure about the colour if it was all too much the same

Card: Night of Navy, River Rock, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White

Ink: Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red

Stamp: Ocean Commotion, Teeny Tiny Sentiment  (2nd card – Petite Pairs)

Other: Strips Embossing folder, Punches: 1″ Circle, Modern label, Word window & Designer Label (retired….oops!)

Now there were a few moments I had to remember what to do in the blogging process….. lol

Until later, happy stampin’

Market stall

1 Dec

As I’ve previously mentioned I’m off to the Belle Bazaar Twilight Markets on Saturday & I thought I’d just share a few more things I’ll have:

Sample of my fridge magnetic shopping lists

Some little keyring post- it notes:  (got the idea for these from my lovely friend Bronwen)

Sample of my giftcard chocolate box:  (these are just the Christmas themed ones)

These allow you to not to just put your gift card or instant scratchies in a boring envelope – but it’s a little gift with some chocolates as well.  Just pull the little tab write your message and slip the gift card in the slot. (They will ALL have chocolates in them)

There are lots more items too!

So if you live in Brisbane & come along to the markets in the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds (3-8pm), please make sure to pop in to say hi.

Until later, happy stampin’

Belle Bazaar Twilight Markets

28 Nov

I am getting excited about attending BELLE BAZAAR TWILIGHT MARKETS again this weekend SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER  3pm to 8pm at the MOUNT GRAVATT SHOWGROUNDS here in Brisbane.

The last market  in October was apparently the largest event ever held at the showgrounds other than our local show.  So I was thrilled to be a part of that, along with meeting great customers and also chatting with the other stall holders and eating the great food available there.

I have some great Christmas Cards ready for the kids to make on the day and have also been busy creating lots of paper craft and cards which will make great and unique Christmas presents.

Stayed tuned as I’ll show you a sneak look at some of my projects through the week. Here are a few items I’ll have:

Definitely a  MUST GO TO MARKET for anybody chasing those special Christmas gifts or appreciates hand crafted quality, along with lots of children’s products.

Hope to see you there.

REMEMBER ALL MY PROJECTS AND CARDS ARE FOR SALE

So contact me to purchase or place an order.

Until later, happy stampin’

Happy Birthday Jules

16 Nov

It was my lovely friend and fellow photographer Julie-Anne’s birthday yesterday.  I didn’t want to blog about the card I sent her for yesterday just to make sure it arrived in time as she would otherwise see it on here!

Now I’ve really been fighting to regain my Mojo lately as just tired from work & my recent holiday was pretty much go go go with a late finish to the day all the time, so I had to push myself to get back to my craft desk as I have so much I need to get done.

So here’s Jules card (hope it has arrived in the mail to her by now)

I used this week’s sketch over on Stamping 411

Card: Regal Rose, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Regal Rose, Early Espresso

Stamp: Flower Fest, Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess set)

Other: Dimensionals, Polka Dots Embossing Folder

Until later, happy stampin’

Sorry I’ve been MIA yet again….. been fighting to regain the creative mojo and time to blog, along with going away on holidays recently.  I had promised to keep my photography blog going while I was away, but just had too many time restraints on managing that.    I have written a diary on my trip to Tasmania, so hope to put some photos together to go with my story & then I’ll start blogging that over on Kerri Shutter Bug

Until later, happy stampin’

Preston’s Christening

30 Oct

It’s my very cute little one year old nephew Preston’s Christening today.

The family have all travelled down from Queensland to Melbourne (Victoria) for this special event (along with his birthday on Thursday)

Thought I might share this card I made for him.

I couldn’t seem to find a Stampin’ Up! “Christening” salutation, which was a little disappointing, so had to put my paper through the printer  prior to piecing it all together.

I’ve stamped with my SU colours but tried my colouring again with the giraffe with Copic markers & SU marker.

Now as I’m currently away for another week yet, I won’t be posting any new creations, but check out my photo blog kerrishutterbug or click on the link on the side bar to see some of my photography of my travels.

Until later, happy stampin’.

Happy 1st Birthday Preston

27 Oct

It is my very cute little nephew Preston’s 1st birthday today!

I don’t get to see him that much, so have travelled to Melbourne to celebrate with the family this big milestone.

This is my little card I made him using the single stamp Elebration:

I mounted the circle scallop on dimensionals to make it pop

The worst part is with all the items packed in my suitcase to come down – it has squashed the dimensionals so it’s not as raised :(

I decided to make a square card just to make it a little different & the great thing is Stampin’ Up! make beautiful square envelopes and your stamped image stamps so nicely on our envelopes.

This was my first attempt at colouring in with Copic markers (non SU) & I’m pretty pleased with my efforts.

Until later, happy stampin’

Kerri
